Mission Partner Update - The Costas, April 2026

SCHOOL MINISTRY
The ministry in public schools is going very well! Praise God for all the opportunities we have to preach the Good News to so many students. In many schools, teachers also love our programs. In others, we can sense that some of them do not appreciate it. They never say anything directly, but sometimes we can notice it through their reactions. However, the students always love it — from elementary to high school.
One encouraging situation happened recently: after a full day of ministry at one school, the principal shared that she was already seeing the spiritual impact of our work there. She was hearing amazing feedback from the students, who were loving it, but at the same time some teachers were questioning her about the program. Praise God for the wisdom and discernment He gave her. She also mentioned to us that some students were crying as they shared how meaningful the meeting had been for them.
We are very grateful to God for this incredible mission field, which is the public schools of Brazil!
ANOTHER POSSIBLE NEW WP BRANCH IN AFRICA
Robson and his family, after establishing WP well in Bolivia, have shared with us their desire to take on another challenge, which is to start our ministry in Angola, Africa!
Robson has been in Bolivia for 13 years now and has been doing an amazing work. He has strong staff members there, and one of them is capable of leading the ministry in the country when Robson leaves.
Therefore, we are currently working alongside David Wilson and Chip Welton on this new project to establish WP in Angola. We are very excited! Angola is a Portuguese-speaking country.
Robson and I have both been to Angola on different occasions (in partnership with an American ministry called GoodWord Partnership), and we have seen it as an incredible mission field for our work. When Robson went there in 2019, he trained a man who really liked our ministry. This man has been using our evangelism methods ever since and has remained in contact with Robson. When Robson mentioned that he wanted to move there to start a branch, this man became very excited! Let’s see how God leads, but it is possible that he could be the right co-worker for Robson.
So please continue praying for this new project. In October, Robson and I will travel there with David Wilson to evaluate the country and all the details necessary to start a branch. Please pray for the provision of our tickets to Angola, as they are very expensive – a lot over our support. This will be a big step of faith. Any gifts of any amount will be of great significance to us.
WP BRAZIL MISSION CONTROL PROJECT
Dear friends, as we have been sharing, this project represents a tremendous step forward in helping us better organize and expand our ministry. As the work in Brazil continues to grow and new projects develop, the space we currently use (our home) is becoming too small. The rapid growth of the Be Amazing ministry has also increased our need for a mission base. This new facility will be a great help in managing our ministry and developing our projects.
Please see the brochure attached to this newsletter for more details.
If you have any questions, please contact us. We are trusting the Lord for a miracle to make this project possible. Please continue praying with us for His provision.
BE AMAZING BRAZIL
In recent months, we have been working hard on the launch of our next Bible study book for women, titled “Be Established.” It will be a 12-week study. We believe it will be a great blessing for the Brazilian church, as well as for Portuguese-speaking churches and missionaries around the world.
We are also working on a Bible study book for teenage girls, titled “Be Free.” We are working hard to launch it next semester. Churches are eagerly awaiting this material, as there is a great need for it.
We have also been developing partnerships with mission organizations to reach women in different places and cultures. We are excited to share a project we are currently working on and for which we need much prayer. We are translating the Be Amazing book into Guinea-Bissau Creole, and through it we will reach many Muslim women in remote villages in partnership with local missionaries. This is fruit of a mission trip in 2024, when Camila and Mariana visited Guinea-Bissau. Praise God!
Be Amazing is serving as a platform to help mission organizations reach women in different contexts, some of them in unreached people groups like the case mentioned above. We are grateful to be part of God’s Mission in reaching women globally.
MISSION TRIP TO BOLIVIA
We are traveling to Bolivia this coming week! God has provided a wonderful team. We will be a total of 10 people going to help Robson and his team in reaching some of the least evangelized groups in the country. Altogether, we will be 18 people! Everyone is very excited. We will be working with indigenous tribes who live along the riverbanks. Please pray for this trip!
OUR HOME RENOVATION
As you know, we were renovating our home, and it took much longer than we had ever expected. Our apartment was very old and required many repairs — even the pipes (still made of iron), that were deteriorating and leaking into the apartment below us. The flooring was coming loose, rotting window frames, poor electrical system structure, among other issues.
We praise the Lord that we were able to complete the major repairs, and on March 8 we could move back in! There are still some things to finish, but we are very grateful to be home again. We will continue working on the remaining items little by little.
Thank you very much to each of you who prayed and contributed to this renovation. It was one of the most incredible miracles we have experienced. We also praise the Lord for our church, which provided an apartment for us to stay in for a few months, and for dear friends who hosted us wonderfully as well. We love you! Glory be to God for all of you!
