April 2025

Living 1:27 connects, equips, and encourages the body of Christ to engage in the foster care and adoptive community.

Monthly Support Group

Fellowship Bible Church room 206

(Meets third Sunday every month)

Discussion Topic: Building Confidence in Foster/Adopted Children
Join us each month as we will listen, share, learn, and pray, seeking to build and strengthen a diverse multi-generational community. This space welcomes families on the front lines of foster and adoption as well as anyone with a caring heart for those in need.

Upcoming Support Group Dates: 4/13, 5/18, 6/15

Join us on CarePortal!

Living 1:27 has joined the CarePortal network as another way for volunteers to directly connect with urgent, real-time needs of vulnerable children and families within our local community. CarePortal requests can range from supplying beds, car seats, rental assistance, and more. These needs have been vetted prior to going into the CarePortal so you can be sure that your response will be truly impactful to families in need in our community. To learn more about CarePortal and their mission, visit their website.

DNOW Service Project

Fellowship Bible Church sent students out on service projects during their DNOW weekend retreat in March. A wonderful group of middle school ladies served a Living 1:27 family by helping them move into their new home — unloading & unpacking boxes and playing with the kiddos!

Seeking a Volunteer
A new family has reached out to Living 1:27 for support. Specifically they are in need of periodic childcare for one elementary-aged foster child. A good fit would be an adult/couple with no children in the home that could bring this child to their own home. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering in this capacity, please email Living127ministry@gmail.com.

Current Needs

There is a continuous need for foster parents, care community volunteers, and prayer. Visit our website to learn how to take action or you may always email us at Living127ministry@gmail.com.

Foster and Adoptive Families

Are you a foster family in the north metro Atlanta area?  Please let us support you! Even if you don’t need the help (which you do!) it provides a way to connect others to the mission.  Please contact us to learn more.

Care Community Volunteers

We are looking for additional volunteers to grow the ministry and serve more families in our local community. Care Community Volunteers support a foster family through bringing one meal a month, mentoring children in care, and/or providing interim care, while Primary Care Community (PCC) volunteers serve at risk families.

Donations

There is a continuous need for donation, they are tax deductible and support the foster care and adoptive community. Email Living127ministry@gmail.com.

Prayer Requests

Pray for volunteers. Those currently serving faithfully to be filled and energized by the Holy Spirit to continue in their service and that new volunteers would step into the ministry.
Pray for healing. Pray that all children and families would be healed, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually from the trauma of their situations.
