And because I preach this Good News, I am suffering and have been chained like a criminal. But the word of God cannot be chained.
- 2 Timothy 2:9

Back to the US!
We are currently back in the States! It's hard to believe we have already been back for over 2 month now, and since our arrival we have traveled to GA, MI, VA, back to GA, MI, then back to GA again to see our kids and family. During our time home we will also be connecting with our support team. If you would like to connect with us, please let us know and we can try our best to connect! We can’t wait to share with you how God is building his kingdom in Iski. During our time here, I've been trying to finish translating/drafting the last 4 chapters of the Iski New Testament!

Recent Flooding
Those of you praying for the Iski know that they recently went through a very intense and prolonged flood season. The Ramu river that they live alongside exceeded normal flooding levels by almost 4 feet and lasted for more than a couple weeks. Needless to say this flooding devastated their all of their gardens, destroying all their yams, sweet potatoes, bananas and everything they depended on eating for the following few months. On top of that it destroyed many homes, and because of the lack of clean water they’ve also battled an increase of malaria and other sicknesses. To add insult to injury, the local clinic has been out of medical supplies to treat those afflicted. Despite all of this, the church leaders have not lost their trust and hope in God’s provision. While talking with them last week they said they are still joyful, trusting God, and thankful for the little food He’s provided for them.

Though we cannot eliminate all their hunger, we can show love and compassion by helping to send in some bags of rice. If you would like to show your love for the Iski people during this time and help in this way, please reach out to us and we can share more details on when and how we will be arranging these provisions for them.

Skovko Village Outreach!
On an encouraging note, the Iski church in Masa village has started a literacy program in the neighboring village of Skovko, right across the river. In 2019 during the outreach in Masa, a few people from Skovko came to the meetings, so we visited them regularly in their village to chat with them and talk about the gospel. But after a few weeks we had to stop going to this village, because the majority of the population was opposed to the teaching. There had even been death threats against a Christian lady in this village.
Despite all of this, God has been at work and many of those who had been opposed are now in support of what we have to offer, and believers are free to come to their village! The literacy program is underway in Skovko, a prelude to the outreach that is expected to begin later this year so that those who will have learned to read will be able to read Scripture during the outreach. Please be praying for the Iski church elders as they prepare for this outreach, and for the Iski bible teacher team who will be taking on this new responsibility, along with the teaching in the Masa church as well.

Thank you for your continued prayers for the Iski church and our family! We hope to see many of you in the next 3 months we are here.

Your partners in PNG,
Jason & Nisae
