WELCOME TO
THE PATH
Take your next step.
The Path describes a journey you are already on with Jesus. It has seven stages, and it is a map, not a ladder. You won’t complete one and graduate to the next. Most of us move back and forth, touch a new stage for a season, and fall back when life gets hard. Nothing God has formed in you is lost along the way.
The inventory gives you three markers. Your Home Stage is where you spend most of your spiritual life. Your Growth Edge is where God seems to be inviting you next. Your Regression Tendency is where you return when you’re tired, grieving, or spiritually dry. Each stage has its own guide, and you don’t need to read all seven. Start with your Home Stage, then your Growth Edge, and keep the guide for your Regression Tendency close for the hard seasons. If you haven’t taken the inventory yet, you can still begin with whichever stage sounds most like you.
Every guide names the great need of its stage, the thing a person there needs most. Look for the pattern as you read. In every stage, the great need is a person. This is why Step 1 matters. The guides are meant to be worked through with a Jesus-focused friend, and the sections marked For the Disciple-Maker speak to whoever is walking with you. There’s no schedule here and no stage you should have reached by now. There is only the next step toward Jesus, and it’s available today.
