FAQs
Are there additional forms required for the retreat?
- All students are required to submit a 2026-27 Medical Release of Liability before the retreat. Students will not be able to participate without this form.
- If your student will be bringing medications to take during the retreat, you must also complete the Medications Form for the camp nurse. Please download, print, and bring it to Friday night Check-in. We will have a medical professional with us at Getaway to make sure medications are taken correctly and attend to any other First Aid or medical needs that may arise.
What is Fellowhsip Students' smartphone, smartwatch and device policy? During the retreat we want students to be fully present and engaged, so we’re asking them to leave their phones, watches, and devices at home if possible. We understand that some parents may prefer their teen to have a phone for emergencies. If your student brings their phone, watch, and/or device, staff will collect and securely store all phones/watches/devices as they check in for the retreat. This not only helps students connect more deeply with each other and what we’re doing, but it also protects them from distractions and inappropriate content that can sometimes come up on phones. If a student needs to contact you, or you need to reach them, our leaders will be available to facilitate that. Let us know if you have any questions!
What safety precautions are in place? Every adult leader, volunteer, and staff member is background checked and trained in Fellowhsip's Risk Management procedures for working with minors. In addition all Small Group Leaders and staff are trained in abuse awareness.
What does my registration fee include? 4 meals (breakfast on Saturday through breakfast on Sunday), lodging, transportation, and recreation are all included in the registration fee. Please indicate any dietary restrictions or food allergies in your student's registration. We will work with camp to accomodate your student's food restrictions.
Will Fellowship provide transportation to and from Woodlands Camp? Yes! Students will be transported by buses. Students are not allowed to drive themselves or others for the weekend. If your student will be arriving late for Getaway, please notify the Student Ministry Team and your student's Small Group Leader.
Where and when is Friday Night Check-in for the retreat? Check-in will be at 6:00 pm in the Student Center. Buses will leave the Student Center at 7:00 pm. Dinner will not be served on Friday evening. Please make sure your student has eaten before arriving at check-in.
Where and when is Sunday Dismissal for the retreat? Students and staff will travel from Woodlands to Fellowship by bus. Dismissal will be at approximately 12:30 pm in the Student Center parking lot adjacent to the field.
Who will my student room with while on the retreat? Students will be grouped by grade and gender and will room with their regular Sunday morning Small Group and Leaders.
What are the accommodations at Woodlands Camp? Each small group will enjoy a cabin with an attached bathroom. Each cabin has several bunk beds and can house up to 12 campers.
