What to Expect

“Belong” is the pathway to meaningful membership at Fellowship! During the Belong weekend you will get an in-depth look at our church and what motivates us to become like Jesus. Our prayer for you as you walk through Belong is that you’d find the information you’re looking for but more importantly, walk the journey to find your people here at Fellowship and connect deeply with God.

During Belong, you will work alongside our leadership community, who are eager to know you and labor together for the glory of God. You’ll learn all about the DNA of Fellowship — our purpose, pathways, and passions, as well as our doctrine, theology, and staff structure — and get a clear understanding of why membership is important.

And because we want to get to know you as well as you know us, you’ll get direction on and help with sharing your own testimony!

Whether you’ve only been with us a short time or for years, if you’re ready to take the next step of membership at Fellowship, we’d love to see you at Belong!

Child care is available for Saturday only.

How to Share a Testimony

At the end of Belong, you will be asked to share your testimony with those at your table. While this will be covered extensively in the class to help you prepare, we wanted to give you an advanced look at what you can expect.

Presenting Your Testimony

Remember…
Keep It Brief: Plan out and write down what you will say in three paragraphs with no more than 750 words. Words matter. Include biblical and true words to accurately describe your transformation that include but are not limited to: sin, rebellion, life change, heart change, confession, repent, believe, trusted in Jesus, faith, faith in the finished work of Jesus, hope, freedom. It is essential to include these words so that we are theologically and practically clear about the work of Jesus in our lives before others.

Before, How, and After - Structure your testimony in three paragraphs:

Your life before Jesus.
How Jesus Saved You.
How your life has changed after your salvation.

Present the Gospel in your testimony: A testimony is not a life story nor is it a place to brag about our sin and lawlessness. But rather an opportunity to brag on Jesus! Your testimony should show people that God loves them, they’re sinful, Jesus is the payment for the penalty of their sin, and they need to trust Christ as the payment for the penalty of their sins in order to have a personal relationship with God.

Is Belong Right for Me?

  • If you have been attending during the timeframe of 2016-2022, you will need to go through the Belong Membership Class before you can affirm your membership. Please use the appropriate button below to begin your membership process.
  • If you began attending during 2023, you will need to attend a Start Here Group (designed for those new to Fellowship) and then go through the Belong Membership Class before you can affirm your membership. Please use the appropriate button below to begin your membership process.
