Mission Partner Update - The Williamsons, January 2025

Teaching in "S" village nears the end!
Many of you have been praying for the teaching going on in "S" village. As you know, after nearly 5 years in the M village, the Iski church started an outreach across the river. in October they started teaching the Creation to Christ foundational Bible teaching. Over the past four months the Iski church elders and Bible teachers started in Genesis, teaching about God as the creator of everything and challenging the traditional Iski beliefs of spirits and human origins. From the fall of man, they traced God’s promises through the Law, the prophets, and the lives of God’s chosen people. Everything pointed toward this coming Deliverer. Over the past month they have been teaching in the New Testament about Jesus as the fulfillment of God's promise. Over the next couple of days the Bible Teachers will present the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Please pray with us for these people to respond and believe.
In "S" village, there have been 24 men and women faithfully coming 5 days a week for the last 4 months. There is a big interest in the teaching there however because of the large religious group in the area some are hesitant to associate with us and hear the teaching. In spite of this, people are believing! Last week I was able to make a quick trip in and while I was there Leo, an older man who is hearing God's message for the first time, found me and with a huge smile on his face said, "This talk is giving me life! Jesus, the promised one, is the only way I can be made right with God. I have put my faith in this talk!" This guy's smile was huge and he just kept holding and shaking my hand. Please pray for clear understanding and responses to the gospel as the initial outreach comes to a close. The new believers will continue to meet as a group there (under the teaching of our Bible teachers) with the hope that they will become the new local church body.
4 new church planters, ready to be sent off!
Over the past 4 months, we and our co-workers here in Madang have been working with 3 new families and one single lady, to help orient them to the country and to continue to equip them for church planting here in PNG. 2 families and the single lady are from Germany and the other family is American. Next week they finish their time here with us and we send them off to their different areas in PNG to continue preparing for their allocation among different people groups here in PNG. Last week I had the privilege of taking them into Iski to spend time with the church. It was a great opportunity for them to see what life is like living in a remote location. Please pray for them as they leave us here and continue their church planting journey!
Thank you for your partnership!
