Food Drive

Dear Fellowship Bible Church Family,
This Friday, SNAP funding for our community will run out, leaving many of our neighbors potentially facing a crisis. Families who have been relying on this assistance will suddenly find themselves making impossible choices between groceries and rent, medicine and meals. With this fact in mind, we are taking steps to help.
First, in keeping with our commitment to be generous to the hurting world around us, we will be donating $3,000 each to Hembree Springs Elementary and Elkins Pointe Middle School. This money will be used by the social workers and teachers there to buy food, which will be sent home with students in their backpacks. For families in need, this food will be a huge blessing on evenings and weekends.
Second, if you’d like to help ensure that local shelters and ministries are fully stocked for the weeks ahead, you can participate in our food drive. Starting now through Nov. 9th, bring any of the items from the list (click the button below) and place it in the bin located by door 14. While the following two Sundays are ideal, you can also stop by during church office hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

This is our moment to step into the gap with both responsibility and joy. The same Lord who commands us to care for "the least of these" also promises that in serving them, we serve Him. What a privilege to be His hands and feet! What an honor to demonstrate that God's people don't just talk about love—we live it out in grocery bags and shared meals.
While the future can sometimes look uncertain, we know who holds the future — and our purpose remains that everyone, everywhere experiences Jesus. Let us show our community what it looks like when the church rises to meet a crisis.
