The Lord heard the prayers of His people and He responded!

In the fall of 2015, God brought together many people from several Roswell churches to pray and fast at Roswell’s North Georgia Family Planning center, an abortion center that was located four miles from Fellowship.

The Lord heard the prayers of His people and He responded!

The center closed down before the end of 2015!  And we know of at least one precious little life that was saved! His mother was at the point of despair and had an abortion appointment scheduled.  One day, as she was driving down Alpharetta Highway, she saw two gentlemen on the sidewalk holding a simple sign: “Pray to End Abortion.” She drove on her way, but she couldn’t shake the thought that God was speaking to her. Finally, she told God that if those folks were still there when she came back, she would stop to talk. They were still there, she did stop and she found friendship and help. She decided that she wanted to keep her little baby!  God is so good!!

This spring, we again have the opportunity to pray for the Lord to intercede on behalf of many, many innocent lives.

The mission of the 40 Days for Life campaign is to bring together the body of Christ in a spirit of unity during a focused 40-day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism, with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to turn hearts and minds from a culture of death to a culture of life, thus bringing an end to abortion. To learn more about this ministry, please go to 40daysforlife.com

Fellowship and other Atlanta churches are partnering together to pray and hold a 40-day prayer vigil on the public right-of-way outside of the Marietta Planned Parenthood center located on Cobb Parkway. This abortion center counsels for abortion and provides RU-486 to pregnant mothers! Fellowship has “adopted” every Thursday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., from March 1– April 9, to pray and fast (although you can pray at any time during the week if Thursdays do not work for you).  Our goal is to have at least two folks from Fellowship pray onsite at the public right-of-way, in hourly intervals. Come pray as a family or with your community group! There is no limit to how many can sign-up for an hourly session. To sign-up, please go to 40daysforlife.com

In addition to the 40 days of prayer, there will be a kickoff rally to pray and praise God as we dedicate the campaign to Him. The rally is scheduled for Monday, February 27 at 7 p.m. (prayer time at 6 p.m.) and will be held at Fellowship in room 169.  To attend the rally, please RSVP to the campaign leader, Rachel Guy.
