Sanctity of Life - Emma's Story

At 16, I thought I would be stressed over school and what outfit I should wear each morning, but instead I’m stressed about being pregnant. At first, I was in complete denial and didn’t tell anyone. I called several abortion clinics, but the moment I gave them my birth date they said I was too young and hung up. I tried until all else failed and told my grandmother who helped me tell my parents.
My mom made an appointment right away with The Hope Center in Woodstock for pregnancy counseling. She hoped it would change my mind about having an abortion, but I was very adamant about it.
It wasn’t until I met with an amazing person named Suzanne that my mind was changed. She showed me a video of what happens to a baby during abortion and I just knew this was not the right thing to do. After watching the video, I believe God talked through Suzanne as she uttered the words, “You will never regret choosing life.” As a result, I have chosen life for the little girl due on February 2nd.
God gives His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers and with Him the choice of life will always be the right decision. “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb” (Jeremiah 1:5). The decision for life may be tough because you can’t see or hear life yet, but a person is a person no matter how small.
