Learn how you can engage neighbors and nations at this weekend’s Engage Marketplace!

FBC’s annual Mission Conference, now called the Engage Conference, is here! In addition to the 80’s Outreach concert on Friday evening and Saturday’s seminars (the topic of the last two blog posts), you will have the opportunity to learn how the Lord can use you, your family, and your community group to impact your neighbors and the nations at the Engage Marketplace in the Student Center.
Follow the impact that the Engage Marketplace had on one of your fellow FBCers, Doug McClure:
While at the 2014 Serve Conference Marketplace, I talked with one of FBC’s Mission Partners, Jack Jones, who serves at the La Iglesia Comunidad Cristiana in Roswell. He mentioned the need for help in his ESL classes. I did not think LuAnn and I were qualified to teach an ESL class because neither of us knew a stitch of Spanish. Jack invited us to try. At that time God was challenging me about what I was doing “in my Judea” and this would be an opportunity for LuAnn and me to serve together. We started as helpers in our first year and now teach a first level class in our second year. We try to make learning fun which builds relationships and makes for a rewarding opportunity to get to know people that come from very different backgrounds than us. Lastly, it gives us opportunities to just be obedient and plant seeds of Christ’s love for them. I encourage everyone to check out the Engage Marketplace and be open to stepping out of your routine to be a part of where God is working in the lives of His people.
This year’s Marketplace will take place in the new Student Ministry Center from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. This time will allow you to visit with Mission Partners and Reps at their information tables and learn how God can use you through local serve opportunities, as well as through various short-term mission trips.
Parents, you will want to stop by the Fellowship Kids table for a cool interactive guide for your children. They can use this as they explore the Marketplace. From 9 a.m. – noon, you can enjoy coffee and donuts and at noon, grilled burgers and hotdogs will be served.
See you this Sunday at the Marketplace!
