Isaiah 41:18 Devotional

The Elders of Fellowship invite you to join us in prayer and fasting one day this week for the following three things as we seek to be faithful to those things to which God is calling us as a church.
Let us pray that we will faithfully abide in Christ. (John 15:4a)
Let us pray that we will live in dependence on Christ. (John 15:4b-5a)
Let us pray that we will bear much fruit in Christ. (John 15:5b)
“I will open rivers on the bare heights and springs in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water and the dry land fountains of water." Isaiah 41:18 (NASB)
As elders, we covet you to enter into a season of fasting and prayer with us as we walk through the desert places in search of God. We are earnestly seeking the voice of God and where He wants to lead us as a body, and desire that He would reveal Himself in and through our prayer and fasting.
Our life as praying saints may mirror the desert experience. We persevere through hard times as a matter of our will. We struggle to pray, and feel like we are in a barren, unfeeling world. At other times we pray and our hearts easily and freely pour out to God. Fountains of water from the desert...
God is listening. To you. And to us. He is faithful to His children and will offer His mercy and love to us as we humble ourselves as a body before Him. If a son asks his father for bread, will he give him a stone? His promises to us are real and we eagerly anticipate His answer for Fellowship. Walk with us.
